Seth’s Work

Seth’s body of work extends into numerous arenas, including public speaking, consulting, media and event production. Over the years, he has worked with major corporations, prestigious universities and top thought leaders. Effective communication is a recurring theme throughout his professional journey.

Leadership Development: During his tenure at Linkage, Seth deployed social media campaigns in support of the Global Institute on Leadership Development, the Organization Development Summit, the Women in Leadership Summit and the Leading Diversity Summit.

Consulting: Seth founded the consulting company, New England Social Media, whose work helped small business leverage the power of social media marketing.  His clients included Universal Records, the New England Nightclub and Bar Expo, and the Newport Comedy Series.  He has also worked on social media consulting projects for clients like GE Capital Maui Jim Sunglasses and Mercury Print and Mail.

Marketing: Seth has over 15 years of marketing experience, ranging from traditional media and event marketing to online marketing. His specialty is building inbound lead generation systems using social media, blogs, email, pay per click advertising, search engine optimization and webinars.

Media: A fifteen-year broadcasting veteran, Seth has been a key player in major market radio stations in New York City, Boston, Seattle, St. Louis and Providence.  He has interviewed dozens of public figures, including National Geographic‘s Lisa Ling, best-selling author Marshall Goldsmith, Sam Adams brewer Jim Koch and celebrity Sharon Osbourne.

Event Production: Seth has produced over 200 events for companies like Anheuser-Busch, CBS and Entercom.  His work has included everything from concerts featuring artists like Aerosmith and Coldplay, to expos featuring over 80 different exhibitors, to conferences with keynote speakers such as Donna Brazile and Peter Block. His event work has been honored by Providence Mayor David Cicilline and featured on local Fox television.

The Polylogue: Seth’s forthcoming leadership development model will enable leaders to effectively communicate by blending traditional media with emerging communication technologies.

New England Social Media: Seth founded a consulting company to teach small business owners how to use social networks like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to promote their businesses. He gave dozens of social media seminars at the Rhode Island Economic Development Center, the New England Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, Bryant University and more. Mystery Meet: Seth’s social dining group combined the power of social media with a love of great cuisine.  This entrepreneurial venture has been profiled in The Boston Globe, NPR, Boston.com, WBUR-FM, the New Haven Register and the Portsmouth Herald.

Occupy the Airwaves: Seth’s podcast series focused on the stories of participants in the Occupy Wall Street movement. The podcast has received a 4-star average rating on iTunes and has been downloaded tens of thousands of times in over 55 countries around the world.

New England Nightclub and Bar Expo: Seth helped launched New England’s largest food and beverage trade show at the Twin River Casino with an aggressive marketing campaign that mixed social and traditional media.

QuickWhatsUp.com: Seth founded this innovative company that melded event production with an event listing website. The website was named “Best of Rhode Island” by Rhode Island Magazine in 2009. The company produce over 200 events for clients such as Anheuser-Busch, Universal Records and the Twin River Casino, such as the DiscoverYou: Holistic Health Expo, the Rhode Island Comedy Competition and the Iron ‘Tender Mixology Competition.

World of Flavors Competition: Seth was issued a citation by Mayor Cicilline of Providence for producing this competition featuring 27 Rhode Island restaurants competing for a $15,000 prize package in the heart of downtown Providence.

Gerrymandering Movie: Seth conceptualized and co-produced this documentary on the drawing of political district lines. The film, featuring interviews with Governors Arnold Schwarzenegger, Howard Dean, Pete Wilson, and Gray Davis, premiered at the Tribeca and was released nationwide in 2010.
